OUR STORY
OUR HISTORY
It all started about 50 years ago with my mother and a Yorkie in Germany. My mother fell in love with a Yorkshire Terrier puppy. We all know that puppies are much like potato chips...you can't just have one. My mother became very good friends with her breeder and with his support she bred her dog. In Germany you can not register litters unless the mother has been shown and obtained breeding acceptance. This started our show experience. After 40 years of showing, winning and breeding Yorkshire Terriers in Germany my mother came to Charleston, SC. Eventually grooming Yorkies turned out more than her arthritis could handle and all but one of her dogs passed away from old age. Here come the Frenchies. It all started with one.
OUR FAMILY
Not all of my mother's children were interested in dogs but those who did share a love and commitment to the breeds they love. My sister started with Yorkies and Maltese over 30 years ago before she started a family. Now reaching the midpoint of her life she is following her dream of raising Chinese Crested dogs. My mother started with one Frenchie but is already on her forth (it is that potato chip thing - can't have just one-or two). Frenchies of the Carolinas started with our little boy, then came a girl, and another, and another. It is our love for quality dogs and the desire to share that love that keeps this family together.
OUR HOME
We are AKC French Bulldog breeders. Frenchies of the Carolinas are raised in the home with all our family. We do NOT kennel any of our frenchies. All our frenchies are loved and are part of the family. We are not a breeder for "colors" all frenchies are cuties no matter what color they are. We love this breed and are always looking for special homes for our babies. If you are someone who is going to love one of our frenchies unconditionally and not breed the heck out of them or kennel them we would love to make a match and help add a baby to your family. Our frenchies are all very loving, playful, great with kids and big snuggle bugs. All our babies go to their new homes UTD on their shots, microchipped, heartworm/flea/tick prevention all given plus their big puppy bag full of goodies. We have a history of AKC champions within our bloodline of AKC French Bulldogs and several of our babies have moved to their new homes and have become champions themselves. Frenchies of the Carolinas are also big supporters of the Charleston Animal Society. With several puppies placed in new homes we always give back some way to support our four pawed friends in the shelter needing help finding new homes.
